Please note that there may be charges for items such as cemetery fees, flowers and newspaper notices. However, any funeral arrangement you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

MINIMUM SERVICES OF THE STAFF AND OVERHEAD

Our firm has a tradition of service and excellence.
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for cremation, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving of remains.)
SCIENTIFIC EMBALMING AND PROFESSIONAL CARE
INCLUDING THE USE OF STATE OF THE ART PREPARATION FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES
Except in certain special cases, law does not require embalming. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you selected certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing or when forwarding remains by common carrier. If you do not want embalming, you usually have a right to choose an arrangement, which does not require you pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. We require embalming for any services selected that include any public or private viewing by the family or for mausoleum entombment.
The Texas Health and Safety Code mandates that a body must either be embalmed or refrigerated after 24 hours following death and the Code of Criminal Procedure stipulates that a body may not be cremated within a time frame less than 48 hours after the time of death as indicated on the regular death certificates unless the remains have been released by medical or law enforcement authorities.
